Emergency FAA Safety Recommendations
99.283 and 99.284

We received the attached FAA safety recommendations from Inspector Craig Roberts of the Nashville Flight Standards District Office. These recommendations have been assigned numbers 99.283 and 99.284. Please refer to these numbers in all further correspondence.

In order to be as responsive as possible to this recommendation, we ask that you evaluate this issue and provide us your action or proposed action by September 30, 1999. We will then provide a followup to the inspector. If you have questions or need additional information regarding this issue, please notify Mr. Jeff Gorney, AAI-210, at (202) 267-8748.

Please note that a three-way telcon was conducted on July 22, 1999 between Inspector Roberts, AAI-210 personel, and Mr. Jeff Janvsz of the Wichita ACO. It was agreed that Inspector Roberts would furnish Mr. Janvsz with all the necessary additional facts and data to assist in the resolution of these safety recommendations.
