NOTE:

For airplanes that are equipped with metal removable fuel tanks, refer to SEB92-26 (or later revision) for information concerning the installation of additional fuel tank drain valves.

PURPOSE

To provide a modification for installing additional fuel quick drains in the wing integral fuel tanks. This modification is designed to assist in the detection and removal of water and/or other fuel contaminants in the wing fuel tanks.

With the airplane on a level surface, fuel samples from each fuel drain shall be taken during each preflight inspection to verify that the airplane has been serviced with the correct aviation fuel and that no water or other contaminants are present. Water, contaminants and/or unidentifiable fuel shall be removed from the fuel system before flight.
